Ginette Ruthven announced that the Chagford Primary school has secured nearly £44.000 for solar photo voltaic panels at the school. Ginette said this is the Lower Carbon Building Programme (LCBP) Phase 2 grant and is the highest amount of funding secured amongst the 11 feeder schools to Okehampton College. There is still match funding needed and will be sought out through local community participation and grant givers. Okehampton College itself has recently installed 3kwh of photo voltaic panels.
